Never trash your Mexican Tourist Card!

Hello to everyone who wants to visit Mexico!

I am writing to tell you how to replace the loss of Mexican tourist card "so called FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple)".

Strangely enough, nobody in the local airport staff really tells us that we need to keep this FMM to be issued the flight ticket back home. This is how Mexico makes profit. It's just a slip of paper! Yet, in case you lost this form, you will need to pay fine for replacement.

Here's what I did to get it replaced @Cancun International Airport Terminal 3 (May 2018.)

below...

1.Go to Immigration Office

There is Immigration Office at the 1st floor near Starbucks.

2.Get a new form

When you talk to booth staff and show your passport, he/she will hand you a new form like he/she is doing this procedure countless times. And the form is exact the same one that you filled on arrival.

3.Pay fine

It costs US$32. Around 700 in Mexican peso at the rate. You don't need to pay at the designated bank. Hand the staff cash and he/she will stamp the lower half part of the form("SELLO DE ENTRADA" column). KEEP this paper slip till the day you leave Mexico! You will need to show your airline staff this form with passport.

There are always people waiting in line at the booth. So allow adequate time for this whole procedure not to miss your flight!
