There are increasing number of so called "Pet Friendly" hotels in the US. Major hotel chains like Marriott, Holiday Inn, Best Western,,etc accepts your pet.

I have once stayed with Marriott with my cat, and it was really comfortable stay thanks to their understanding staffs. (We are provided with a "four-legged guest🐾" tag on the front door)

So this time as well, I booked a "Pet Friendly" resort hotel without any doubt.

After booking Leon's in-cabin pet flight, pet friendly hotel stay, and vet's appointment to get a health certificate, I thought everything is just finely settled. Yet, I made a phone call to the hotel we are supposed to stay, only to make sure about the booking. Then the hotel clerk stated "We only accept dogs."...

Oh nooooo!!! I was panicking deep down in my heart. And what is worse, as my transaction was no refundable one, I had no choice but to find an alternative accomodation for my cat. Which means I cannot go on a trip with my cat. That's a huge bummer!

After this whole thing, the first thing that come up to my mind is "How come they call themselves "Pet Friendly"?! Isn't that only "Dog Friendly"?"

From this experience, I learned that a mojority of "Pet Friendly" hotels only accept dogs. And I made a mental note to check everything and make sure if a hotel is also welcoming cats or not, before making a reservation. Sorry, my beloved kitty😭🐈💕
